Ramsay Hunt, of New. York, referred to the delicate mechinism of the nervous system, which was affected by every’ emotional reaction, and controlled the entire body, including digestion, respiration . and circulation. He declared that secret fears instiled in childhood were often responsible for poor health, and said that there would he less disease if the physician was also a psychiater. Menial suggestion was the .secret of all cults claiming successful cures. . .
