—« —— COLOURS FOR SPRING. What will Miiss 1927 wear this spring? The small committee which sits in Bradford and chooses the colours for dresses, coats, and other garments lias decided that the following will be the vogue: pomadour, a delicate rose, which will be popular for both day and evening frocks. Larkspur,. a. pastel blue slightly inclining to the mauve. Cocoa, as the name implies, a rich reddish brown. Sedge-, a blight shade similar to the always popular almond, but with a tendency towards- jade. Rubric, a rich- wine shade, much brighter -than the Burgundy which has been so fashionable. G-orise, a bright yellow, suggesting the blossom of the shrub. Caramel, a useful light brown, suitable fo rail kinds of walking costumes. Mi-st ,a subdued mauve, -suggesting tli-e .atmospheric effects of sunset. Picasso, one o ; f the outstanding novelties of the season. It is a very bright red of great beauty, named after the famous cubist painter, who favours this colour -in his pictures. Naples, a rich blue, recalling the colour of the Bay of Naples at high noon. In addition to these colours, light shades of grey will be fashionable, and navy blue and white in combination with other colours.
