LISTENERS-IN LEAGUE. (BY. TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, May 20. As a sequel to recent complaiuts, an Auckland Listeners-in League was formed last night, to promote the interests of listeners-in generally, and to assist in the development of broadcasting in New Zealand. A committee was appointed to prepare a drafi constitution and to convene a public meeting for its adoption. PRICE FOR A BUS COMPANY. AUCKLAND, May 20. Mr Justice Stringer and two assessors announced their award in the litigation lx;tween the Royal Motor Bus Company and the Auckland City Council as to the amount to be paid .for taking over the. concern. The company is awarded) £21,275, in effect splitting the difference between the amount offered and claimed. The company was also allowed, costs amounting to £250, witnesses’ expenses, and fees of two assessors at £SO each.
