BOOKMAKER’S CLIENTS FINED'. (BY TELEGRAPH - PRKBB ASSOCIATION ) CHRISTCHURCH, May 19. A further nineteen betting client® of A. V. Whitta, a bookmaker, appeared at the court to-day and were fined sums ranging from £ls to £3 for illegal betting. In most ca.se® the convictions followed the finding in Whitta’® office of letters or telegrams about the Dunedin races.
