ISOLATION OF SOVIET.
LARGE SCALE CAMPAIGN. INTERNATIONAL ASPECT OF ARCOS RAID. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRICHT. LONDON. May 19. A large scale campaign aiming at the diplomatic and economic isolation of the Soviet has commenced, according to the “Gazette.” “This is the international aspect of the Arcos raid, which was purposely timed for M. Doumergue’s visit on the Communist question.” .states the paper ‘'Britain has defintely assumed the European 'leadership, and other countries aTe prepared to follow her example, which is first and foremost applicable to France. “The results of the raid are expected to profoundly affect France’s attitude towards the Soviet.” _ There is also speculation! on the Continent regarding the content® of the missing document which wa®. the original cause of the raid. Berlin is asking: Did the document contain a, plan for the nassage of British. and French troops through Germany in the event of war with Russia, or did it contain a defensive plan against a French air attack on Britain P
