FOOTBALL CLUB BALL. A PRONOUNCED SUCCESS. The annual ball of the Kaponga Football Club was held in the Town Hall last night, and was in every respect a great success. The popularity of the club and. its annual gathering was evidenced by the decidedly representative attendance, about 90 couples occupying the floor. Quite a large contingent of Eltham, Stratford and Okaiawa Club members were included. The hall was tastefully decorated with evergreens, ferns and l festoons of multi-coloured streamers, Mr S. C. Knight being the designer. The club’s trophies, won in various seven-a-side tournaments. were accorded conspicuous positions. Messrs M. Comerford, A. Guy, G. Guthrie, and P. Hammersley ably officiated as M’s.C. A sumptuous supper was served under the direction of Mesdames J. Dawson, W. Hislop, G. Guthrie, J. Guy, I. Evans, A. H. Hawkins, W. H. L. Roberts, J. Tattersall, S. C. Knight, and other willing supporters of the club.
