Johnston’s Income; 0 1 . Cox’s Enure and Lady Cavendish. R,. Johnston, who- has been here since tlie Hawera meeting, left by the early train with Vivo, The Swell, and Pap'iaponga. Euchre and Tip Tree did not make the trip. . , Some riding engagements tor tomorrow are: H. Wiggins, Orazone; I/. Pine, Denier and Avola ; W. Jones, Rouex and Subdivision; Allies, Troilus and Omabu ; A. McCormae. Rising Star and Bonogne: B. Morris, Bartaga. and Civility; M. Conway, Lady Acre; Shaw, Enare and Passln’ Through; H. Burt, Comical; T. Tito, Be vis and Monsogne ; McTiavish. Benzora, and Income. Harry McSweeney, recognised a® one of our best cross-country horsemen, received notice yesterday that his license lias been granted, and he will be riding to-morrow. His mounts include Rail juke in the Hack Steeplechase, and Hallow-morn in the Wanganui Steeplechase. Diogenes has been scratched for the Connolly Handicap. FINAL, GALLOPS AT WANGANUI. WANGANUI, May 18. The weather was fine for the final gallops to-day. Grand Knight ran three furlongs in 37. sec. Comical and Tin Whistle covered four furlongs in Slsec. Little River and Wihetahme did a mile in 1.50. Royal Divorce went five furlongs in .1.5 1-5. Deluge ran the last four of five furlongs .in 50 2-ssec., doing it well'. Bennanee took 50 4-ssec. Zircon and, Day Bell did seven furlongs, in 1.34. Berinthia beat Modest Boy easily over half a, mile in 48 4-ssec. Bonny Rill and Hallow-morn were better than Banjuke over a, mile in 1.50. Deg ago did six furlongs in 1.17 2-5. , Rouex covered the same distance in 1.20. Fireblight did a round over the fences, jumping safely. Ardath was better than Polyphemus over the hurdles. Peter Maxwell jumped the lien coop and brush fairly well. Ranga.tahi beat Gauntlet in a round over the hurdles. ANOTHER SCRATCHING. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, May 18.
