REDUCED FARES. S.O.S. have not been COMPELLED BY COMPETITION, as some people think, to reduce the fare; it is a natural outcome of our expansion. Having now a much more frequent service we can deal with increased passenger traffic, and we knew from the popularity of our WAN GANUI-WELLIN GTON service (130 miles for £1) that reduced fares in the Hawera secton would bring INCREASED PATRONAGE.
