The Duke and Duehess of York were enthusiastically farewelled by the public when they passed through on their way to the Renown. Brief stops were made at Spencer Street and Flinders Stations. The Royal Party left the train at Montague, and drove through the surging crowds to the pier. The Renown left at an early hour in the morning for West Australia.
