“MY GARDEN.”

The following are four good poems that were received for “My Garden” Poem Competition:— Sent by Thelma Gargan. Age 13. In my garden I have flowers, Of every hue and sorts, Snch as roses, lilies, violets, Which always bring sweet thoughts. The flowers in mV garden Grow lovely in the spring, For the daffodils are blooming And kind messages do bring. ; Sent by Norma Thomas. Age llvrs 4 months.. As I sit among my flowers, Surrounded by the roses bowers, I watch and watch the the tall flowers sway, Like the tree tops on a summer dav., I Then suddenly the wind did call, From my garden flowers both big and small The petals flew—from one and all. Sent by Edna Coxhead. Age llvrs. My garden is a pretty sight, With all the autumn shades. The dahlias are the flowers just now, That please us little maids. Sweet peas climb up the arches, While the border is bright and gav, Where cosmos, larkspur, asters, Poppies and phlox hold sway. Sent by Jean Thomas. Age A years S months. In my garden roses grow j And little stocks so small, Are not a match for the hollyhocks, Stately and tall.

But when the bee comes buzzing by, It smells the scene of the stocks so shy, And goes to sip the honey sweet, From the' little flowers prettv and neat.
