NEXT MONTH’S FIXTURE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.

Any opportunity to make a little extra pin money will be welcomed these hard times. Such an opportunity is open to all who exhibit at the New Plymouth Winter Show on June 7 to 10 next. The prize lists, which are now available, include such wide .range of classes, and- so many glasses for those who have never competed before that almost everybody can jiave a personal interest in this shout.> For the womanfolk there are classes for cookery, home-made butter, sweets, jams, sauces, pickles, preserves, art ■and fancy needle-work, knitting, painting and sketching, etc. The menfolk are catered lor in classes for garden vegetables, fruit-, hams and bacon, field roots and farm produce of all kinds, and honey. Amateur photographers are offered very attractive prizes for a group of classes both open and novice, whilst the poultry prize list, which is printed separately, will appeal to all poultry, pigeon and canary fanciers. All sections of the show have been liberally endowed with cash prizes, numerous specials, and trophies. To receive a free copy of the prize list, all that is necessary is to send name ■and address to. the secretary (Mr. W. P. Okey) whose, .address is Box 18, New Plymouth. Eiitries close on May 20.
