After two weeks in camp at Hastings, Mr. H. Cl. A. Fox, conductor of the •Municipal Band, returned to Hiawera on Monday evening.- He (reported having had a. very interesting and useful time. He was asked and consented to take the Hastings -Seventh Mounted Military Baiid for practices while in camp and he gave them considerable time each evening. It is interesting to note that he was some years ago the organiser of this band. There were about three hundred territorials in camp, drawn from ail parts of Hawke’s Bay. Mr. Fox also trained four trumpeters while he was in camp. Before he left the members of the hand presented him with a.
