PUBLICITY BOARD.

NEW ORGANISATION PROPOSED

(by telegraph—press association.) WELLINGTON, May 4. The Associated Chambers of Commerce met to-day in order to discuss eertain matters affecting the question of publicity. About 30 delegates were present, also representatives of hotelkeepers and motor and other transport services, as well as tourist agencies, 'etc. Mr W. Mackin ,who presided, said that the best thing would be to formulate definite proposals and wait on the Minister as a deputation. Regret was expressed at the absence of-the Minister (the Hon. G. J. .Anderson) and officials of the Publicity Department. It was stated, in explanation, that the Minister was prepared to receive any deputation and to consider concrete proposals. _ A motion was carried unanimously that it was desirable to set up a. Publicity Board, funds to be contributed bv the Government and private' individuals, tbe personnel to be Government nominees' and representatives from the contributing bodies.
