NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED. BY TELEGRAPH - SPECIAL TO THE STAR. WELLINGTON, April 27. In the election of the national president of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, the poll was taken throughout the Dominion, on the preferential vote, Mr J. Chu rehouse, ganger, of Carterton, was elected after the fifth count, and Mr, M. Connelly, guard, of Dunedin, was second, the final figures . being Churchouse 3019, Conne’Jv 2993, a minority of 26.
