Cremation does not appear to be increasing .in popularity in Auckland. During the past year the crematorium at Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland, was used on 33 occasions, a decrease of eight compared with the figures of the previous year. The interments at Waikumete Cemetery for the year were 592, an increase of 208 compared with the previous year. The crematorium returns, says an exchange, are thus 6 per cent, of the total.
