SEAPLANE’S SPEED

NEW YORK, April 25
The National Aeronautical Association announces a- new world’s record speed for a seaplane, carrying a load of 500 kilogrammes, established by Lieutenant Callaway, of the navy, today. He attained an average .speed of 147.263 miles an hour for 100 kilometres.
The machine was a new navy Vought Corsair observation ’plane.
