SOUTHERN JUNIORS. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. A meeting of the committee of the Southern Division of the Taranaki Referees Association was held in Hawera last night. Present: Messrs A. L. Glapham (chair), M. Bailey, K. McNae, W. G. Whittington, A. Elgar, F. Atkins, A. E. Spratt, and J. J. Goodwin (secretary). The Taranaki Referees’ Association advised of a meeting to be held in Stratford on May 1 to discuss the amendments to the rules, and invited all referees to attend. Word was received that Eltham and Patea hacl withdrawn .their fourth grade teams, while Eltham had entered a third grade team. The Manaia-Opunake group, which held a meeting at Manaia- last night, advised that it had been decided to postpone the junior fixtures until May 7 on account of the territorial camp. Mr Goodwin said lie thought the matches in the Southern group could be carried on, and the following referees were appointed for next Saturday : Juniors. Hawera v. Alton, at Hawera, Mr H. A. K.
