(From Our Own Correspondent.) MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the'Eltham committee was held in the Mayor’s room last evening. Those present were: Mesdames Gover and Ililmer, Messrs I. J. Bridger (chairman), M. Burke, R. Harrison (secretary), and I. Rogers (Scoutmaster). Apologies were received from Lady Carneross, Mrs Burke, Messrs T. B. Crump and G. N. Gover. It was decided to write congratulating Patrol Leaders E. Townsend and R. Bourke on qualifying for the King’s Scout badge. The badges will be presented at a social evening to be held in a few days, at which all parents of Tli o scouts arc to be invited to be present. Mr. Redmond Burke was appointed an assistant Scoutmaster. Mr. Rogers gave notice that as he would be shifting to bfanaia. in a hour two months, that he would be unable to accept the appointment of Scoutmaster next year. The appointment of a successor yeas left, in the hands of the chairman, with power to act. The recent picture benefit realised the sum of, £4 10s net profit. The Scoutmaster’s report was as follows: Owing to the small number of parades held this month, little progress has been made with badge work. Patrol Leader Redmond Bourke has qualified for the King’s Scout Badge, and Patrol Leader J. Cover has only one mare badge to pass to gain his coveted badge. There was quite a satisfactory attendance at the Auzac. Day service. A pleasing feature of the parade was the initial appearance of the troops first cub pack, under Cubmaster Hart.
