PLUNKET SOCIETY.
PATE,A BRANCH. At the annual meeting of the Plunket Society the -report indicated a. credit balance of £ls 11s, the street day col.eetion totalling £l2 6s. Mesdames Shield and L. Homyfield attended a conference called by the Hawera Society. The committee, regretted the departure of Mis Moss and also or Rev. H. B. Goertz, both of whom had done good work for the society. The election of officers resulted as under: —President, Mrs W. F. Shield; hon. secretary, Mrs E. G. Honeyfie'd; vicv-presidomts, Mesdames Roberts, Fraser, Crawford, Orabb ; auditor, Mrs iV. F. Shield; committee, 'Mesdames Finlay, Robinson, Christensen, Roberts, Shield, Hunger, Orabb, Pettigrew, Tennett, Mcßae, Ramsbottom, Rockell, Carey, 1). Fraser, Roots,, Partridge, Ha-merlon. Thomas, Crawford, Haarea, blacken, Senijile. and bliss B. Gibson; advisory board. Messrs Roberts. Webster and Hemingway. Favourable comment was made on the work of the nurse, bliss Smith, and her s.rvices to the society were olaeed on record. An effort is to he made to secure new members.
