George Walker, aged 27, and Thelma Ham mill, aged IS, Avere shot dead outside the latter’s home at, Ashficld after their return from a picture theatre. The fatal shot Avere fired by William Gordon Fuller, 24 years of age, of Croydon, Avho aftei-Avnrds fatally Avounded himself. Walker Avas a -cook and had a ticket for the steamer Mocralci in his pocket. . - T „ In Fuller’s possession avqs a jncav Zealand passport; also a photograph of himself in a marine officer’s uniform. The girl’s parents stated that she and Fuller recently quarrelled. Jealousy is believed to have been the motive or the crime.
