OBITUARY. Residents of the district learnt with regret of the death 'at his parents’ residence on Saturday .morning o.f Leo, second son of Mr and Mrs A. Langford, of Kapum. The deceased was 21 years of age, and was most popular and well esteemed. His. death occurred after a long illness, which he bore with great patience and was always cheerful. The funeral, which left the Manaia Catholic Church for the M a main. Cemetery shortly after midday on Monday, was largely attended, over 50 cars being in the procession. A Requiem Mass was conducted at the M-anaia: Catholic Church in the morning, the Rev. Father O’Dwyer officiating, and a service was also held by the Rev. Father O’Dwyer before the funeral left the church. Friends and sympathisers were present from all parts of South Taranaki, and many beautiful wreaths were placed on the casket. The following were, the pall--1 rearers, Messrs J. and T. Paterson, A. Stevenson, F. M. Landers,- James Sullivan and P. L. Keppell. The. Rev. Father O’Dwyer officiated at the grave. The citizens of Manaia: and district extend to Mr and Mrs Langford and family their deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
