G REY MOUTH, April 23. The Greymouth Jockey Club’s meeting to-day at Omoto was 1 held- in showery weather. There was a large attendance. The course was heavy owing to tlie rain. Results: Novice Hack Handicap, of 100 soys : 5.1 furlongs.—Erin-go-Bragh I, Waikaia. 2, Rose Blossom 3. Scratched: Miss Alert Lai, Lord Middleton, Greyfinich. Won by three lengths. Time. 1.13 3-5. Hurdles Handicap, of 110 sovs; 1-J miles 110 yards.—il Red Heathen* (D O’Connor) 1,2 Lord Leslie (J. Jennings) 2, 5 EMali (E. Nelson) 3. All started. SYDNEY YEARLING SALES. BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 11.25 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, April 23. At the yearling sales, Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. purchased a Pershore —Llannelly filly for 100 guineas, a Limelight-Lady Flyer colt for 60 guineas, A Cetigne —Cheeky Lass filly for 45 guineas, and the Verdored —Belle Bardolph filly for 55 guineas. Mr W. I. Wilson, of Auckland, paid 90 guineas for a Grey Monk —Bright Nonette colt. The yearling sales have concluded. The 621 lots sold realised 141,745 guineas.
