PEDIGREE JERSEYS.
CATTLE CLUB AT KAPONGA. At a meeting of the Jersey Cattle Club at Kaponga last night much business was done in the interests of the breed. The members present were Messrs S. -T. Hollard (president), W. A. Guy, E. J. Sulzberger, H. Mellow and M." Priest (hon. secretary). A decision was made in regard to the club sale on July 4 that, in conjunction therewith, dispersal sales be held on account of Messrs E. J. Sulzberger and L. Franklin. A Stratford remit urging that bulls be dehorned prior to registration was not approved, and delegates were instructed not to support it at the provincial conference. DEMONSTRATION AT TARIKI. There was a good attendance at a demonstration given under the auspices of the Stratford Club by Mr E. Griffiths, when he gave a general epitome of the points to be looked for in a good type of dairy beast, with special application to the Jersey. The listeners, who included some of the Stratford High School boys, took a keen interest in the work of demonstration, and thoroughly appreciated the value of the day’s work. 1
