PERSONAL ITEMS.
Aliss K. J. Cave was appointed librarian for the Eltliam Public Library at a special meeting of the committee, held last night. There were 11 applications for the position, Air and Airs C. Berg, of New Plymouth, who have been on a visit to Hawera, where they stayed at the White Hart Hotel, went south to Wellingtons to-day. Mr and' Airs R. J. AlctKenzie, of New Plymouth, who since Monday have been in Hawera, where they were guests at the White Hart Hotel, departed for Wellington to-day. Air R. H. White, of the Wairarapa district, is at present visiting Hawera, and is quartered at the White Hart ihotel. Alessrs W. J. E. Alayhill, A. Alayhifll and L. Smith, - of Auckland, who are on a motoring tour of the Taranaki district, are at present in Hawera. Air W. J. E. Alayhill was formerly a member of the staff of the Public Trust Office in this district.
