This Fertiliser Proves the Superiority of SULFUROPHOSPHATE SULFUROPHOSPHATE 'T’HE following extract was recently published in “The Fertiliser,” the world’s most authoritative farm journal:— “ln order to compare the values of the different phosphatic fertilisers on the turnip crop, an experiment was carried out last season by the West of Scotland Agricultural College, using Garton’s Marvellous Swede. On a sandy loam soil eleven plots were treated with a basal manure at the rate of 6 tons farmyard manure, ljcwt potash manure salts, and ljewt. sulphate of ammonia per acre, supplemented by various phosphatic manures to supply the same amount of phosphate per plot. The yields per acre, irrespective of the relative cost of the phosphatic manures, were:— Phosphatic Manure tons cwt. qr. Gcwt.
