BOY SCOUTS.
EASTER. CAMP AT PATE A. The Bov Scout,s in camp at Patea held a camp-fire concert on Saturday evening hefaiU a good attendance of the public. During the concert a display of first aid was given. On Sunday the boys were allowed leave to attend their separate churches, and in every case the hoys went to their services. During'the afternoon the boys were taken around the town by their scoutmasters, and a good number were shown over the freezing works by Air Pauline. On. Easter Monday the morning was spent, in troop drill, and in the afternoon a sports gathering was hold. Al’ the events were inter-troop competitions. Following are the results:
High jump.—-Scout Jackson (Nornianbv) - 1 * Hop, step and jump.—Scout Mullins (Hawern). I nti r-troop relay.—lTa wera. 1 nter-troon tug-of-war.—Mokoia. In tor-troop obstacle race.- —Fla weva. 1 11 tor-troop trek cart race. —Mokoia. Coc-ldi ght.—Norm an by.
The Hawcra troop led with, three wins, white' Mokoia and Normanby had two - each. At 4 n.m. the boys struck camp and marched down- to the station, where th-cv entrained for home.
