Bclsa. a Spanish thief, who was sentenced to two years for stealing a motor, was being taken to prison, and as the van was passing the door of the Palace of Justice he whispered ontlnisiastioallv to the warder: “What a pretty girl.” Being a Frenchman, the warder looked, sharply round. No pretty girl was there, however, and when he looked hack there was no prisoner either.
