THE PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held on Tuesday at 2.30 p.m.. at the Plunket rooms/ There were present : Mesdames Jobson (chair), Tait (treasurer), Strange, and Crompton (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Winks, A. Bayley, Haggett, and Morris. The resignation of Mrs. Winks was received with regret. The shop day held on Saturday last, and organised by Mesdames Hunter, Bright, and Hawken, was reported to have been very successful. Accounts amounting to £24 16s 7d were passed for payment. Thanks were expressed to the Rugby Union for a donation of £6 4s 3d, and to the following members for subscriptions: Mesdames Caplen, Strange, Walden, T. Livingston, Corkill. Walker, Goodchap, Gosnell, and Palmer. Nurse Dix’s report for the- month showed the number of new cases (mothers and babies) to be 87, visits at the office 1109. and visits to homes 377.
