FIRE BRIGADE.

FIRST DANCE! OF SERIES. The first of the series of fortnightly dances arranged for this season was held in the Foresters’. Hall last evening, and proved very successful. Over forty- couples were present. The committee. ■ under the able leadership of Deputy-Superintendent Grace, worked very- hard, and had the gratification of knowing that their efforts to develop the social side of the brigade, had such initial success as was lachieved last evening. A .splendid floor, good music dispensed by Miss Butler, and a spirit of goodfel 1 owship, combined to, produce an evening’s entertainment which augurs well for the success of this season’s dances of the Hawera Fire Brigade.
