CHRISTCHURCH RATES. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 12. On the recommendation of the electricity committee, the Christclmi on City Council decided last-night: O) That the domestic heating and cooking rate be reduced from lid to Id. per unit- (2) that commercial radiator rate be reduced from 2d to lid per unit. The new grate for domestic heating and cooking will enable radiators and cockers to be supplied on the Id portion of the existing lighting rate, and will thus eliminate sepaiate meters for heating and cooking.
