Dr Paul’s autopsy in Boulogne on the body of Nurse Daniels reveals that she was strangled. The doctor says: “This is the most difficult of my 30,000 post-mortems, and the result is inconclusive.” The thyroid bone was fractured; the base of the larynx showed traces of blows; the right shoulder and back were lined in spots, and the lungs and heart conditions were consistent with strangulation.—Sydney Sun Cable.
