“I had a hit over the odds,” said a statutory first offender who was charged before Air. C. O. Ekdahl, in tlie Hawera Police Court this morning, with being found drunk in High Street, shortly after G p.m. on Saturday. Defendant was convicted and fined 10s, in default 48 hours, and was given until 3 p.m. to produce the amount of the fine.
