FRENCH HEROINES
GO TO WINDSOR CASTLE. INTIMATE ROYAL RECEPTION. PRINCE OP WALES PLEASED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT LONDON, April 10. Their Majesties Iving George and Queen Mary added a final honour to the French heroines who were entertained at the Mansion House to-day by according them a reception at Windsor Castle, and bestowing, autogrophed photographs upon them. After tea. their Majesties questioned Madame Gobevt. and her daughter regarding their war experiences, especially in regard to the concealment of the soldier Fowler who was also invited. The visitors were specially gratified, because the King and Queen spoke French.
The Prince of Wales, who throughout has been keenly anxious that the heroines should be brought to London, motored specially to Windsor Castle to see them. The visitors said they never eoukl have imagined such a reception would be given to ordinary poor working people. They were particularly delighted to see the Princess Elizabeth, and Princess Mary’s elder sou.
