JXTEIJM IXABLE DISCUSSIONS
.* 1 OAIII.H CRESS ASSOCIATION COrYUMJUI GENEVA. April S.
After a lengthy •debate, the preparatory Disarmament Commission accepted Lord Cecil’s motion that each State should communicate to the League of Nations, in a form to be determined later, a statement of the amount proposed to be expended on land, navy, and air armaments for the current financial year.
The commission lias referred the form of the tables to the financial committee, assembling in June. With a view to speeding up the deliberations, which threaten to become interminable, the commission has decided to hold a three hours’ session daily, leaving the afternoon for private interchanges of views. There will be an adjournment for four days at Easter. Lord Cecil is going to Pallanza, in Italy.
