FIRST DAY’S WORK. ■IV CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGH’J ■ Received 11.40 a.m. to-day. MELBOURNE, April 9. The traffic for the first day of the Beam wireless was about 3500 words from Australia and 1200 from Great Britain. It is stated that the service is working in a highly satisfactory manner, although the traffic is heavier than anticipated.
