Onward, by Hallowmas —lona, has been placed under C. Jackson’s care. Onward wans responsible for paying a big dividend at New Plymouth at Christmas time, and has since won a couple of races at the TJruti Beach. C. Jackson has reluctantly come to the conclusion that it is useless to persevere with Eerie as a racing proposition, and, rather tliau run the rish of breaking her down altogether, it has has been decided to turn her out ot training. This is a great pity, as Eerie during her steeplechasing career prove! herself one of the most brilliant horses over country the Dominion lias produced. With her breeding, conformation and stamina she should prove an acquisition to the stud matrons of the country. Ha worn horses are treated well in the handicaps at Feilding, and the prospects for several look good. Acceptances close on Monday tor Feilding.
