HOUSE DESTROYED AT NAPIER
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, April 9. An empty store, with an unoccupiel house adjoining, was destroyed by fire at West Shore this morning. The property was owned by Air D. Donovan, Hastings. The amount of the insurances are unavailable. POVERTY BAY OUTBREAK. GISBORNE, April 9. A fire destroyed the homestead and implement shed of R. Fleming, at Malania i. HAWKE’S BAY BLAZE. HASTINGS, April 9. An eight-roomed house in Fitzroy Avenue, owned by M. E. Wood (Blenheim) and occupied by W. Stratford and family, was practically gutted this morning. The insurances on the furniture were £250 in the Sun Office, and ■on. the house £ISOO in the Union Office..
