WEDDING.
H ANN A—HA STIE. A pretty wedding was .solemnised in St. John’s Church (Otakeho) on Wednesday, when. Christian Margaret, onqy daughter of Mr and Airs E. R. Has tie, Ngaio Grove, was married to Jam-.s Stewart, youngest son of Airs and the late Air S. D. Hanna, of Parnell, Auckland. Hie Rev. Air Solomon performed Hie ceremony. The church was gaily decorated, archways of flowered hoops leading from the entrance to the altar. This was the work of the friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father wore a gown of ivory georgette, beaded with silver bugle beads over or.pe-de-chine, and hung in lines from the shoulders. Her tulle veil was fastened with a double circlet of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of cream and white roses, there being attached to the. streamers the symbol of good luck, a silver horseshoe. The. bridesmaid, ATiss Afaisie Armitage wore a Victorian picture frock of orchid oink taffeta, and crinoline poke hat of the same .shade. A posy of dowel's gave the finishing touch. Tho bride’s mother was- attired in a navy blue mnrocaine frock, .and deep champagne hat: the bridegroom’s mother wearing steel gr-y charmeuse and grey and violet hat. To the strains of the “Wedding March” the bridal party left the church amidst showers of confetti, and motor'd to the hall, where a reception was held. Here between 50 and 60 guests were received bv Air and Airs Hustle. After the breakfast and the usual toasts, the bappv couple .'eft by car en route to Wanganui—the bride’s travelling frock being a light saxe blue ensemble suit and hat of contrasting colours.
