A 8.-LAW ATTACKED. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH. April 8. A by-law of the Riccartom borough, situated just outside the city boundary on the Main South and AVeist Road, Avas attacked in the Magistrate’s Court-to-day. The by-law prescribes that motors must reduce their speed to 15 miles an hour Avhen Avithin two chains of an intersection. It Ava-s argued that the speed prescribed Ava-s needlessly slow, and that in any case a reduced speed over so great, a zone as tAVo chains before an intersection was unnecessary. Decision was reserved.
