Gold is quoted at 84/11. At the tallow safes 1541 casks were offered and 982 -sold. There was a good demand, with prices generally unchanged. Low and medium showed a threepence advance.
X PRODUCE MARKET. BUTTER: AND CHEESE QUOTATIONS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency report receiving the following cable from London: New Zealand butter, .150® to 1525; market slow, Cheese as quoted at- 75s to 765; the market is firm. WOOL SALES. The- Farmers’ Co-op. are in receipt of the following cabled advoie from their London representatives: Wool sales closed to-clay, and prices, compared with opening rates, are unchanged.
