ELTHAM FIRE BRIGADE.

FAKE GUP COMPETITION. ' Members of the Eltham Fire Brigade competed on Monday night for possession of the Fake Cup, competition for which is confined to a one-man wet coupling event. One of the governing conditions is that the contest must be conducted at night. Fireman L. Julian won in 43 seconds, closely pressed by Fireman L. Page, who registered 44 seconds. Members of the Eltham team which at the recent demonstration at Stratford won the challenge shield for the best performances by teams from the Stratford and Eltliam Brigades in the two-men dry coupling, three-men wet coupling, and five-men events, have each been presented with a gold medal. The team comprised Firemen A. Cooper, E.. Doyle. L. Julian. L. Noes, and L. Page.
