Government department £11,015.000, other securities £8.735,000; gold coin and bullion £149,812,000; total £169,562,000. Banking Department.— Proprietors’ capital £14,553,000, rest £3,098,000, public deposits £21,036,000, other deposits £103,349,000, seven day and other bills £3,000 (?); total £141,939,000. Government (securities £30,982,000. other securities £77,766,000, notes in reserve £31,703,000, gold and silver coin £1,488,000; total £141.939.000. Hie proportion of reserve to liabilities is 26.7 per cent; short loans, 4 per, cent; and three months bills. 4 5-16 per cent.
