HINEMOA CLUB. , ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the I-linemoa Ladies’ Hockey Club was Held last evening, Miss A. Reynolds presiding over a good attendance. REPORT. The annual report presented by the secretary, Miss M. Woolliams, stated that the 1920 season, although, perhaps, a little more successful than the previous one, did not disclose anything of cutstanding merit. The same thing seemed to happen every year, the club usuallv had an enthusiastic meeting, and ‘‘things looked rosy,” but, for some unknown reason, as the winter advanced, many girls lost interest. It was hoped that the coining year would contradict this, as those who witnessed the Indian Army players had realised what a truly wonderful game hockey was, and that it was cue worth playing. Every girl should realise when she joined that it was up to her tc do her best for the club, both on and off the field. This was particularly applicable to the payment of subscriptions, which was a paramount consideration. Last year the subscriptions amounted to only £1 15s —only seven girls out of 22 paying. If girls found 5s too much, a small payment on account would show their good intentions. Tt was really disheartening to think that, the club was being maintained by the generosity of the vicepresidents, which was really the case. It would be fairer tc those few girls who paid up to dispense with subscriptions altogether. It was suggested that if the amount of the subscriptions was reduced, matters would improve. During the year travelling" expenses amounted to £B, and a dance had been held which had realised £O, so that the credit balance of the club, amounting to nearly £5, must be regarded as satisfactory. During the summer the club had lost a member whe had always been a. considerable acquisition to the club, in Miss E. Galloway, who had gone to Wellington. The report was received. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. •Office bearers were elected for the ensuing year as under: Patron, Mr. J. R. Corrigan; president, Mr. 11. G. Dickie, MiP.; secretary, Miss M. Woolliams (re-elected); treasurer, Miss I. Prime (re-elected); committee, Messrs. D. Clements, J. MeGlashan, N. Adams, arid Mrs. V. Parker; delegates to the Taranagi Hockey Association, Miss M. Woollinms and A. Reynolds. GENERAL. It was (decided that Hhe colours should remain the same as for the previous season: Ramblers, navy and saxe; Rovers, navy and amber. Opening day was fixed for Rovers, April 9; and Ramblers, April 13. It was decided to approach Messrs. A. E. Palmer, F. Sage, and P. O. Vcale with a request, that they act. as coaches.
