OPERATIC SOCIETY.
FOR THCO Ml NGi PER FOR Af ANCE. PRODUCER. APPOINTED. The Hawera Amateur Operatic Society lias appointed Air. Theodore Trezisc, of Auckland, as producer for “The; Arcadians,” which is to be staged by the society in September. The decision was reached by the committee at a meeting held last evening. In Auckland last year Air. Trezise produced the same opera for the amateur society there, and the production. was recognised as one of the most successful performances presented by the amateurs in the northern city. Mrs. R. A. Graham, of Hawera, has been appointed as pianiste.
