LONDON MAEKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from London under date 30th inst.:— Tallow—We quote present c.i.f. and e. values for the following descriptions of tallow: Fine mutton, 30/- cwt.; good beef, 3S/- cwt.; mixed, 35/0 cwt. Our quotations are more or less nominal. Dairy produce (last quotations in parentheses)—Butter, New Zealand, small supplies available, 151/- to 150/cwt. (154/- to 150/-). Cheese, market slow; 70/- to 7S/- cwt (80/- to 82/-). TJMAJMJ HAM FA ID. TIM All U, April 1. The Timaru ram fair was held to-day. The entry was smaller than usual. There was a good demand, especially for English and Border Leicester's, the top price being 30 guineas for one stud shear English Leicester. The general range of prices was: — Studs: Border Leicesters, 5 to 10 guineas; English Leicesters, 5 to 10; Romney Marsh, Gto 10. Flock .sheep. Border Leic-esters, 4 to 8 guineas; English Leicesters, 4 to .13; Corriedales, it to 81: .Romneys. 4 to 8; Southdowns, G to 8; Shropshire's, 4 to 5; South-down-Border Leicester cross, 31 to 7. WELLINGTON, April I. The Department of Industries and commerce lias been advised by cable from Sydney* that the present prices of flour for expert from: either South Australia, Victoria or New South Wales is £ll 5s peh ton. Prices of bran and pollard in South Australia are both quoted at £5 15s per ton. In Victoria the prices of bran is £0 per ton, and the price of pollard £7 per ton. In New South Wales the price of bran is £7 per ton and of pollard £f> 10s per ton. The latest quotation for wheat f. from South Australia is 5i -Id, from New South Wales 5s sd. and from Victoria 5s 4d. DALGETY AS SHA RKHOLDERS. WELLINGTON, April 1. The superintendent of Dnlgety ami Go.. Ltd., has received cable advice that a meeting of shareholders has been called for April 7, in London, to obtain the consent of the shareholders to an increase of the capital of the company by 100,000 ordinary* shares c.f £2O each. £5 jinid up. The new shares will be offered to the company's shareholders, probably early* in May, in the ratio of one to every two existing ordinary shares held, exclusive of the fraction, at a premium which will be fixed by the board at the time the new shares are offered.
