A LABOUR CONFERENCE
ENGLAND AND RUSSIA. DELEGATES MEET IN BERLIN. INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT

Representatives of British and Russian trades unions, including Messrs Hicks and Purcell, and MM. Citrine, Tom-sky, Au-deff, and Jarotsky, at a three days’ conference, privately discussed international trades union unity, constitutional methods, and a- future Anglo-Russian advisory committee. It was officially announced that complete unanimity existed among the delegates, who were united on all points. The decisions arrived at will be presented to the British Trade Union Congress and thb Russian Council of Trades Unions for ratification. The proceedings were marked bv appreciation of the necessity for maintaining, and strengthening, Anglo-Russian trades unions’ relations. It- is believed that the conference agreed to a policy of non-interference in each other’s domestic affairs; also a further attempt to enable Russian unions to join the Amsterdam International was arranged .
