BUTTER, CHEESE AND EGGS. AMERICAN AND BRITISH MARKETS. BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT. Received 2.50 p.m. to-day. LANDON, March 31. Butter is selling steadily. It is reported that the United States and Canada bought 20,000 boxes last week. Prices are as follows: Australian and New Zealand choicest salted, both 152 s to 1545, exceptional 15Gs; unsalted about 160 s; Danish 180 s. Cheese is quiet. New’ Zealand 77s to 78s. Sir .Tames Parr obtained a return of all the sales of New Zealand eggs in British markets. It shows an average of 10s a ease above South Africans and Australians. Critics pay a compliment to the packing and quality, and express the opinion that there will always be a favourable market, _ though increasing world supplies are likely to cause cheapening.
