J>alli soil J Mona ghnn, C. Browning, W l . H. AVybourne, Stan Moore, Dalrymple, E. P. Symes, R. I). Wybourne, J. P. Wybourne; hon. secretary, Air. D. D. Forsyth; lion, treasurer, Mr. C. L. Morris; committee, Messrs T .Fitzgibbon, B. How, J. * Leo, T. Ryan, J. Purvis, J. Nicholson, and A. Stewart; club capfain, Mr. J. Leo; coach Air. F. Alonaghan, assisted by Air. C. Browning. Practise nights were set down for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Subcriptions were fixed at 7s 6d for active members and 2s 6d for juniors under 18 years of age. Correspondence was received from the secretary of the Waitotara Football Club asking for a delegate from the Waverley Club to be present at their annual meeting in Waitotara on April 1, also asking that a team be entered in their seven-a-sido tournament- to open the season. It was decided, to enter a team as requested, but the matter of appointing a delegate was not considered, ns the Waverley Club propose entering a junior team in the Wanganui competitions, providing arrangements can be made with that body for home and home matches
The question of whether the club should apply for permission to play in Taranaki, as was done last season, came up for discussion. Most of those present were in favour of affiliation with Wanganui, providing that arrangements could be made to ensure some matches being played in AVaverley. Hitherto the policy of the Wanganui Rugby Union has been to play all junior grade matches in Wanganui, which means that the Waverley Club, which cannot put a senior grade team into the competitions, is put to the expense of about ,L'!) each timo the team travels. This policy was severely criticised hy several members, and is generally, considered as being responsible for the lack of senior players in this district. There is plenty of junior talent of a high standard, hut no outlet for it. It is hoped, however, that the Wanganui Sub-Union will take this matter up and see that justice is done by the country clubs within their jurisdiction. Mr. Rov Tilley was appointed as the club’s representative in Wanganui. It was decided that the coach be sole selector. The matter of club colours was left to the committee to decide at its next meeting on Wednesday, April G. The question of insurance was discussed at some length, it being finally •decided that particulars of the scheme he obtained from Wanganui Union and be dealt with later. The following new playing members were elected; Messrs C. L. Morris, R. Sampson, J. Nicholson, J. Wemyss, 11. Walker, .T. Leo. and' I. Southcombe. Practise will he held on the Recreation Grounds at 2..10 p.m. on Saturday, April 2.
