After six months’ training at the Ministry of Labour’s farms, 55 vigorous youths have sailed by the Bel tana for West Australia and Victoria. Mr H. B. Betterton, C.8.E., said fareweP to them at St. Pancras Station. He stated that the contingent completed a total of 500 youth® who had been trained at the department’s farms. Of these, 300 had gone to Australia bv arrangement with the Australian and Canadian representatives at the Imperial Conference, the period of British training in the futuie would he shortened and intensified, enabling double the number to be turned out.
