BUDGET FIGURES. A SLIGHT DEFICIT. LOSS ON RAILWAYS. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COP YEIGHT. Received 10.25 a.m. to-day. CAPETOWN, March 31. The Budget showed an estimated deficit of £146,000. Railways alone show a deficit of over £500,000. It is estimated that the revenue for the coming year will bo £28,750,000, which it is estimated will just balance expenditure. The loss of over 1,000,000 tons of grain, due to the failure of the maize crop, is compensated by large increases in coal, ores, minerals and building materials.
